Course Title; Diploma in HIV/AIDS counseling and Management

This is a two-year undergraduate Diploma offered on distance with face-to-face tutoring. Some of the modules in the Diploma in HIV/AIDS Counseling and Management include Research Monitoring and Evaluation of Health Programmes, HIV/AIDS Stigma and Discrimination, and Strategic Health Communication in HIV/AIDS.

About the Center for External Studies

The Center for External Studies (CES) at the University of Namibia offers quality higher education through the provision of distance and open learning programmes. The CES collaborates with faculties and other University Centres to offer formal programmes leading to degrees, diplomas and certificates as well as non-formal programmes.
Other qualifications offered by the CES include: Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree (Advanced Practice), Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Education, Specialised Diploma in Education (Home Economics or Fashion and Fabrics), Specialised Diploma in Educational Management and Leadership, Diploma in Adult Education and Community Development, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Certificate in Accounting and Auditing, Certificate in HIV/AIDS Counseling, Certificate in Mid-level Management and Certificate in Taxation and Management.
The CES is also responsible for the management of eight University regional centres and manages an office at the Northern Campus in Oshakati.
